SafePaint

SafePaint is a newly formulated milk paint designed for use on walls. The original formula was created for porous surfaces like wood and masonry. SafePaint is for use on non-porous surfaces such as previously painted walls and for new sheetrock.

Like the original formulation, SafePaint is available in 20 colors and a base with no pigment (you add your own). Packaged as a powder, you add water to make a pint, quart, or gallon.

SafePaint doesn't have the "old world", uneven, mottled look of the original formula. It's flat, but much more uniform and consistent over a large area.

It is more water-resistant than the original paint, but on surfaces expected to take a lot of abuse, you may want to put a clear sealer over the paint. SafePaint is washable once cured.

Old-Fashioned Milk Paint and SafePaint are both organic and bio-degradable as well as permanent, durable and nonpolluting.
