Soap Nuts for Laundry |
Soap nuts are the dried berries of the Soapberry tree, sustainably harvested from tropical forests. They are a source of saponin, an all-natural surfactant which has been used to clean clothes for centuries. Soap nuts are gentle enough for use with silk and wool. Soap nuts are reusable - up to 4 times. When done, mix them in with your compost.
Soap Nuts are all natural and hypo-allergenic. They are 100% biodegradable and completely safe for the environment. Because they are low-sudsing, they work well in high-efficiency and front-loader washing machines.- the Large Box has enough soap nuts for 36-to-50 loads (10 oz.)
- the Medium Box has enough for 16-to-20 loads (4.5 oz.)
While they're very effective for cleaning, they are not delicious. We do not recommend serving soap nuts at your next cocktail party.
