The reusable Static Eliminator sheets replace disposable dryer sheets. Static Eliminator is chemical free and 100% hypo-allergenic – a great alternative for allergy or eczema sufferers. Unlike traditional dryer sheets, Static Eliminator leaves no chemical residue on laundry and does not affect clothing’s flame resistance. What's the big deal about conventional dryer sheets? Many of them are saturated with chemicals (including chloroform and ethyl acetate) that appear on the EPA's Hazardous Waste list and can cause nervous system disorders in humans. Because dryer sheets are used in laundering after the rinse cycle, their chemicals permeate clothing, sheets, and towels, meaning we are exposed to them for long periods of time.
