Safecoat Penetrating WaterStop

Safecoat Penetrating WaterStop improves water resistance and repellancy in a wide variety of surfaces, including brick walls, concrete foundations, stucco, stone and most unglazed tile. Because Safecoat Penetrating WaterStop is not toxic and low odor, it is ideal for use indoors instead of a typical high solvent content sealer; yet, it is durable enough for use outdoors. It is particularly useful as a periodic maintenance coat for surfaces originally treated with Safecoat WaterShield.

USE ON: Safecoat Penetrating WaterStop is recommended for porous brick, mexican pavers, concrete block, concrete and stucco. It can also be used over wood to increase water repellency and reduce water absorption.

SURFACE PREPARATION: All surfaces must be clean, dry, free from dirt, dust, efflorescence, grease, wax, oil, silicone, tsp/soap, mill scale, oxidation, loose peeling paint or varnish, or any foreign matter/contaminants. Remove all mildew before coating any surface. Surfaces should be fog sprayed with clear, low salt content water immediately prior to applying Safecoat Penetrating WaterStop to allow for even penetration.

COVERAGE: Most surfaces, 200-300 square feet per gallon. Natural limestone, 300-500 square feet per gallon.

APPLICATION: Always have adequate ventilation. Apply Safecoat Penetrating WaterStop with a brush or spraying equipment in an even and uniform manner. Do not use a roller. For vertical surfaces start at the top and work down. Keep a wet edge. Always test a sample for suitability prior to full use. Avoid puddling on horizontal surfaces. Apply one coat only. Do not dilute.

CLEAN-UP: Clean tools and equipment while they are still wet with a solution of SafeChoice Super Clean and warm water.

DRYING/CURING TIME: 24 hours full cure in moderate humidity and heat.

LIMITATIONS: Safecoat Penetrating WaterStop is made without formaldehyde preservatives. Do not contaminate. Store in airtight containers. Do not use when ambient or surface temperature is below 55°F. Do not apply where product will be immersed in water, such as fountains, pools or below ground area.
