The PureLight UV-Light Wand uses 100% chemical-free, UV-C sterilization to sanitize objects and surfaces without the use of any chemical agents. Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UV-C) is lightning-fast in killing all DNA-based organisms.
Use the PureLight UV-Light Wand for protection against bacteria and viruses including SARS, MRSA, clostridium.difficile, anthrax, avian bird flu, and hoof and mouth disease. The wand provides a 99.9% kill rate of bacteria and viruses, dust mites, and bed bugs.
The cordless, rechargeable wand is very convenient to use. Its LED display lets you know when the device is operating. The wand can easily be used to sanitize objects like pillows, mattresses, countertops, keyboards, and toilets. There are unlimited potential uses for PureLight in households, health care facilites, schools, and offices.
Scientists have exploited the anti-microbial properties of UV-C light (Ultraviolet light - C band) since the 1930's to kill germs containing DNA and RNA (including bacteria, viruses, fungi and mold). UV-C light is invisible to the human eye and has a higher frequency than the UV-B light used in tanning salons. While UV-C is invisible, given sufficient intensity and exposure, it can kill most of the germs responsible for causing diseases in humans and animals. UV-C works by destroying the genetic material of pathogens (disease-causing bacteria, viruses, mold, etc.) Once the DNA in a pathogen has been destroyed, the micro-organism is either killed or unable to function properly, and it can no longer reproduce.
This unit contains several safety features. A special glass filter gives you 10 times more protection than unshielded UV units. The bulb is encased to prevent breakage. Automatic shutoff turns the UV lamp off after a prescribed time period.
