These lawn and leaf bags have a 13-gallon capacity, measuring 32.5" wide by 39" tall. They are durable and sturdy enough to handle the toughest yard jobs. A removable tear-strip at the top of each bag makes for easy tying. Each box contains 5 bags.
Unlike typical plastic bags which may take 100 years to begin to degrade, these bags are 100% biodegradable and 100% compostable. They are made from GMO-free corn starch, biodegradable polymer and other renewable resources. No polyethylene is used in the production process. They meet ASTM D6400 specifications and California SB 1749 requirements. The packaging uses soy-based inks and dyes.
For collecting leaves, we recommend using a trusty rake rather than a leaf blower. Using a gas-operated leaf blower for one hour produces the same amount of greenhouse gases as a car driving 4,400 miles (that’s a round trip from Salt Lake City to New York City).
Also, leaves and lawn clippings are great for composting!
